Problem Based Learning (PBL 101)

Problem-based learning is an alternative to traditional classroom learning. In PBL a teacher acts as a facilitator and mentor, rather than a source of solutions. With PBL you are not presented with content through lectures, but rather, with a problem. Since you are not handed content, learning becomes active in the sense that you self-discover content that you determine to be necessary to solve the problem.

PBL 101 will cover essential aspects involved in both understanding problem based learning and using PBL as a strategy to teach adults.
